La revista Arxius de Miscel·lània Zoològica nació el año 2003. El objetivo de la revista electrónica AMZ es publicar datos inéditos de biología en las condiciones óptimas de acceso y reuso. Para ello los repositorios de datos son el complemento ideal en la consecución de este propósito y GBIF es la plataforma incuestionable en datos de biodiversidad. Se trata de una revista de acceso abierto, gratuita para los autores, con un rápido proceso editorial y evaluación por parte de expertos. Se publican artículos inéditos sobre taxonomía, variabilidad morfológica, distribución en el espacio y dinámica en el tiempo de organismos zoológicos. La colección MCNB-AMZ alberga algunos de los recursos de datos de colecciones zoológicas que se publican previamente en la revista y que se irán ampliando en el futuro.
